Iriver h120 problems with rockbox

Hi!
I bought a used Iriver h120.
A problem now showed up.

When I choose a song, then choose another song 5 seconds later and then again after a short time choose a third song the device stops playing.
Sometimes that even happens when I have choose only one song and then choose another.

It just stops playing, and I cant choose another song either anymore.
It shows no error, everything keeps working.
But no song can be played anymore.
I have to restart the device and then everything works again.

I'm lost really.
I thought it only happens with wav files but it happens with mp3 too.
Using not the db but choosing via  file system.

I also booted the original firmware to test it, and it seems it doesn't have this problem.

Obviously I wanna use rockbox.
Version installed is r17732-08061.

Do you have any advice what to do about it?

First, install either Rockbox 3.7 or a current build.  That build is over two years old.

Thanks will do.
Was just hoping this may be a known easy solved issue with the currently installed firmware, because as soon as I change anything I figure there is no way in returning it.
Maybe there isn't anyway, but you know, with a change to the firmware there isn't for sure ;).
Guess I'll just backup the current rockbox stuff on the disk, just in case.
