Generally speaking, we don't know the answer to this. Maybe someone who does know will see this (and can also fill in an entry in the page yapper linked).If this item is still available through retail outlets, you might be able to find a place that will let you try it out in the store.
I do UNDERSTAND that accessory support is partially supported in RB. BUT, if I do end up getting it, could a non-dev like me submit my findings to that list?
If one looks at the wiki I think some safe assumptions can be made.1 - Charging will work. 2 - Audio out will almost assuredly work.*3 - Remote control is unlikely to work perfectly, but there is a better-than-even chance at least the main features will work.*The devices which fail to play audio have thus far fallen into two categories:1 - FM transmitters which fail to even power on without some yet unknown handshake from the ipod.and2 - Stupid car audio devices which see the device as an iPod and expect iTunes loaded music.
