I love RB so much but i want to get a better player that is supported?
« on: November 11, 2010, 03:09:35 PM »
Like the topic said I love Rockbox and really I have yet to see a mp3 player with a better interface.
Currently I own a Sansa E series although I want a player that has the ability to do Video out to RCA. In the Sansa family of products the only Sansa that I could find that has a RCA out cable is the Sansa View which is not supported by Rockbox At least to my knowledge. I almost purchased this cable as it hooks up to the bottom of my E series and Hope. Although I think that would just be a waste of money. Then i thought about getting the Sansa View although it not being Rockbox supported I will not get it as i love the Sansa players I HATE the OF Its too limited. To me besides just being the best interface for an mp3 player i have ever used I LOVE the Video Player which is the main reason i wish i could have video out as it would be a GREAT way to share with friends.

SO with all this nonsense What is the BEST player that Rockbox Supports? and what player that rockbox supports, support Video out?

I got my Sansa for only a measly $40 (which is one of the reasons i love it. it was a refurb) but i literally use a magnifying glass to watch the video (a very small Fresnel lens wallet card) and it makes it so my crappy eyes can see (LOL I should get some prescription reading glasses or something just for my Sansa viewing pleasure)

Thanks for any IDEAS!!

Rockbox doesn't support video out on any player, even if the hardware is capable. Nobody has coded support for this functionality yet.

Sansa Fuze if you need a new MP3 player, and wasn't bothered about screen size

awhh too bad maybe if my current sansa  breaks then ill get the Fuze but now that i know their is not a video out function my dreams are ruined :(

maybe it will happen in the future right now IDK but i think at least the version of RB i have doesn't even support Charging in RB mode IDK if it has been fixed yet. Mine actually says it is but it doesn't.

Thanks for the INFO

Regarding charging, this should work for both the most recent release and current builds for both v1 and v2 e200s.
