Can I save rockboy games without the menu?
RebelPanda:
I cant access the actual menu for the plugin, so is there a way I can use the game's built-in save feature? Also, is there a way to exit without using the menu or reseting my ipod? Its a 2nd gen nano if that helps at all.

AFAIK you need to Hold key for both actions you describe.
Pretty sure this is described in the manual also.

RebelPanda:
yea, I assumed as much. I was kinda hoping that someone happened to have a workaround I could use.
Llorean:
Any game that can save normally (as in, within gameplay) should still be able to save without you needing to use the Rockboy menu.
torne:
No, that doesn't work because Rockboy only saves the gameboy SRAM to a file on disk when you exit it cleanly; the original poster has been hard-resetting the device to get out of the plugin, which doesn't save any data.
There are not enough buttons on an iPod for the menu to be mapped to anything other than hold, you can try changing the keymap yourself and doing a custom build but you'll find it hard to get a different button that doesn't ruin your ability to play games.
