ipod freeze each 3 secs playing ape files

Hello i upgraded to rockbox 3.7 last week and i had an issue.

i got an ipod 5.5 80gb i rencetly copied some ape files... when i try to play one it freezes each 3 or 4 seconds. should i rollback rockbox 3.6
does anyone got same issue?
Any suggestion?

What compression level are they encoded at? On the iPod targets, or any PP-based target for that matter, no APE files compressed above -c1000 can play in realtime without pauses during decoding.

You can either re-encode your APE files to use -c1000, or use another codec.

Thank you for your quick answer... really it's first time i try to play ape on rockbox cus i convert everything to mp3 before i transfer to my portable device. i wanted to know if it was a rockbox issue or an hard disk trouble. Thanks anyway
