Best way to conserve Battery Life while using Rockbox?

Noticed that Rockbox eats up battery life more than my Original firmware (iRiver H300 series).

Anyone have any suggested plans available that use up less battery life?

(ie. Screen backlight off after 5 seconds to conserve battery, power down disk after 1 min etc)

I have not seen this behavior.  Please post battery benchmarks.

Rockbox gets longer battery on the H300 generally speaking - you need to do proper tests in both Rockbox and the OF with similar conditions.
