Bug?: Sleep Timer does not work correctly when on AC power

While this makes some sense, if using the original firmware this statement would not be fully correct which I why I still think this could be considered a bug.

If H300 is plugged in (charging) and sleep timer kicks in, say after 30 minutes, iRiver powers down but goes into "charging" mode.

Is it not possible to do this with Rockbox?

Instead with Rockbox it rests at the System Menu.

What does charging mode actually do differently in the OF?  From your description is sounds identical.

The player is not powered down in the OF's charging mode, it just displays a full screen charging animation. I don't see how that is better than resting in the menu.

Because there must be a separate backlight setting for that charging mode animation (I think). There's nowhere in the OF I can see to set it, but its definitely different for me.

So you're asking for the sleep timer on the H300 to change the backlight brightness setting for you?

The sleep timer should already turn the backlight off when it expires.
