Bug?: Sleep Timer does not work correctly when on AC power
ufo:
Wasn't sure where to report this, but think I may have found a bug.
Have AC power plugged in to charge the device (in this case iRiver H300 Series) and set the sleep timer to go off in a number of minutes (e.g. 30 minutes).
But when it reaches 30 minutes, item stops playing, but player remains on.
If this was running on batteries it would always switch off at this point.
Soap edit: Removed yelling from subject. If you know it's a bug it goes in the tracker. If you're asking please don't yell.
Chronon:
I believe that your player is incapable of being powered down while being charged. Are you able to manually power it off while plugged in? If not, then this seems to be an intrinsic feature of your hardware and not a bug at all.
torne:
The sleep timer code refuses to power off players which are connected via USB, or players whose chargers are connected unless they are explicitly marked as supporting powering off while charging. It just stops the audio and turns off the backlight instead.
This is not a bug.
nls:
Yes, the h300 hardware is incapable of turning off with the charger connected

While this makes some sense, if using the original firmware this statement would not be fully correct which I why I still think this could be considered a bug.
If H300 is plugged in (charging) and sleep timer kicks in, say after 30 minutes, iRiver powers down but goes into "charging" mode.
Is it not possible to do this with Rockbox?
Instead with Rockbox it rests at the System Menu.
