I just installed Rockbox today, and I'm kind of puzzled as to why Rockbox doesn't just automatically detect all of the playlists on the device (Sansa Clip+). From what I read in the manual, to select playlists using the "playlist catalog," the playlist has to be saved in the /playlists directory in the roots of the player's disk.
The way that I have my albums and playlists organized on my player is each separate album in a folder inside of a folder called "music." Each album has a .m3u playlist in it for that particular album.
Using the original firmware on the Clip+, I could easily browse all of the playlists on the device, and when I clicked on a playlist, the Clip+ was set up in a way so that the device automatically knew where to find the files to play from the playlist.
Is there anyway to get Rockbox to automatically detect all of the playlists that I already have in each folder without recreating each playlist and saving it to the /playlists folder so that it can be detected using the "playlist catalog?"
Thanks for anyone who can help.
