First time installing Rockbox on Sansa Fuze, Windows no longer recognizes it

(1/1)

Savio:
Hey guys, just installed Rockbox for the first time on my new Sansa Fuze. It installed fine using the automatic installer, but now windows wont recognize it.  It starts up fine on the actual device and displays the USB thing when I plug it in, but I cant put anything on it and windows wont see it.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

If your Fuze is a v2, then this is expected behavior.  The Rockbox USB driver for the Fuze v2 is not currently enabled.  To connect to your PC, you must first boot into the OF by holding the left button while turning on the Fuze and then connect the USB cable.

P.Kosunen:
Same applies to Clip+? Is there any timeline for direct USB support?

Yes, the same applies to Clip+.  There is no timeline for USB support.  When the developers working on it deem it to be stable it will be enabled.
