Ticking Sounds, Garbled Playback, Divide By Zero Crashes on Fuze V1-Bat. Fix?

(1/1)

yelped:
Since the Battery Comit (r28200, I believe), I've been experiencing ticking sounds every time I fast-forward, rewind, or switch the track. I'm also experiencing garbled playback every 2-3 tracks, followed by a Divde-By-Zero crash "30687778". I've also seen occasional "Database not Initialized", even though I didn't touch any database setting.

This is on a Sansa Fuze V1.

Thanks for all the great work!

mc2739:
This is a known issue on current builds with certain Fuze v1 and e200v2 models.  There is an existing Flyspray report with additional information: FS#11608

Until a proper fix for the problem is found, you may want to try the stable 3.7 release.  The release has r28000 reverted to workaround the issue.

yelped:
Thanks! Could the battery-life comit be affecting the buffering or something? Because that's when all these errors appear to happen.

mc2739:
It is not yet known exactly what is happening.  It will be a difficult problem to solve since there are a relatively few number of users that are experiencing these problems, and so far, no developers have a device with the problem.
