Fuze V2 - ticking in playback

(1/1)

tubegeek:
I am experiencing a playback problem, both with FLAC and MP3 files on my Sansa Fuze V2. I installed Rockbox and functionality is all OK there. However when playing back songs, I get an occasional (several times a minute maybe?) ticking sound in the playback. Overall, it sounds very much like the playback from a not-quite-clean record.

When I boot to the Sansa firmware this issue goes away.
I have tried the 3.7 stable release as well as the current build (r28480-101104)

Any ideas?

Thanks,

I've the same problem. I haven't done tests, but files should be ok. I have noticed the problem last week, not before. I don't remember to have done something that could have caused the problem.

I have only added a 8GB uSD, but I hear clicking on mp3 files in the internal memory and removing the uSD it's the same...

Hello,

On the Sansa Clipv2 the clicking noise, that can be heard at low volume is a known problem. See: http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/SansaAMS#Specific_problems

So could there be the same problem for the Fuze v2 due to the fact, that they share the same System on Chip?

I became aware of this problem after some time of listening (maybe I just didn't play music at that low volume, or I didn't listen carefully enough, to hear that noise)

Maybe a Developer can put some light on that topic.

Greetings,

Uhmm... It's very strange I haven't noticed it for months... My ears are very sensitive... :)

Could it be a small buffer problem?
