Daytime dependent BackgroundLight brightness
«

It would be nice if the BackgroundLight brightness could be set
by time slots of day.
Example
00:00 to 6:00 : low
6:00 to 8:00 : middle bright
8:00 to 18:00 : very bright
18:00 to 20:00 : less bright
20:00 to 00:00 : low
Because if i set my Sansa e200 Backgroundlight to max at day i'm happy but in night it burns out my eyes.

You can easily create different .cfg files to achieve this.
You won't be able to load them automatically though, you'll have to do that manually.

Using PMs to annoy devs about bugs/patches is not a good way to have the issue looked at.

This is a nice feature but for now ... I use QuickScreen and assign backlight to Up/Dn

Automatic switching of the brightness would be great. Most of the time I use the lowest brightness because higher brightness is too strong in a dark but when I am outside in a sunny weather it is not possible to see anything on the display. Blind switching of the brightness is difficult.

I think the Quick Screen is the best solution for changing brightness levels. Ambient light depends on much more than just time of day. For example, at mid-day I could walk from a dark room into full daylight.
