Best sounding (available!) Rockbox-Player?

(1/2) > >>

Patx1981:
Just wanted to ask who has a first hand (though always subjective) experience with various Rockboxed Players. For myself I tested the Sansa Clip+,Ipod 1.Gen Nano and Sansa e200. As Headphones i used U.E. Super Fi. EB and i must say the Nano beat them all, with the close follower CLIP+ (Its fantastic this little thing can sound THAT good with Rockbox =) and the last place takes the Sansa e200. (The Precut at 22.5 works wonders for leveling up the Bass frequencies at general) The IPod Touch i believe has,as crappy as it sounds now, wonderful capabilities if there is finally a Rockbox App...

So,I wanted to know the experiences from other Users, having similiar altough different Equipment to buy the next Rockbox Player of choice...

(If this is the wrong Thread i apologize, for being there a similar Thread too.If so,i didnt find it)

I have tried Sansa Clip+, Sansa Fuze, and iPod Mini with Rockbox so far. I was able to get my desired sound signature out of all of them, but it took more tweaking to get there with the Mini(perhaps because it is a much older player?).

Maybe i should add that i´am a little of a "Basshead",when it comes to my desired capabilities... ^^ I noticed quite a difference between e200 and Clip+, is the Fuze noticable better than the Clip+?

For bass I agree the sansa clip+ is very good.  For overall sound quality I still think my e200 is better.  But for the size and money the clip+ is amazing.

Pretty much all mp3 plaers we support sound the same (exceptions would be the the e200v1s which have a bit of hiss when accessing the disk).  The best output (and I use this in a technical sense since differences this small show up on computer tests not actual listening tests) would be the sansa ams players. But this isn't something worth caring about.
