Database fails to initialise
« on: October 25, 2010, 04:56:09 PM »
The database fails to initialize on my iPod 5G 80Gb.
I'm thinking that maybe some of the tags on my music is incompatible, but am unable to search for such things.
Basically, the database finds the files and asks for a reboot. Following that, the database "Commits" but stops at 4/9, leaving me with nothing as a result.
How can I skip these "invalid"-ly tagged files?

The best way is to do a binary search - you remove half the music from your player, then try again - this tell you which half the problem is in.  Then you remove half of that half, etc. etc.

If you find a problem file, then we can see what the issue is and try to solve it.
