I went to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qp134Ux_ncY&feature=related and I installing Iboy and rockbox and I got this error on my Ipod 30Gb Video
Please don't follow random Youtube "tutorials". We have official installation instructions and we only support our official installation instructions. This "tutorial" talks about installing iboy, but Rockbox does neither have nor support iboy. Rockbox has rockboy as Gameboy emulator. Also, Rockbox is not a "program for running Gameboy games". Rockbox is a firmware replacement, not a program that you install as application on your Ipod. That's a major difference.
Furthermore, that Youtube video instructs you to use ipodpatcher. While this works we have a much easier and less error prone way of installing Rockbox. Please search the Rockbox website on how to install Rockbox.

hold MENU+SELECT to reboot
then SELECT+PLAY for disk mode
You installation is incomplete. Please check the Rockbox manual on how the installation parts do work.
I put the usb in like 30 times then nothing I removed USB safely then I did Menu select and it went to apple icon and went back to same message then when I did select and play nothing happens just stays on same screen. Please help me with this..??
Do what the text says. That's all. To reiterate:
- reset the Ipod by pressing Menu + Select. Hold both buttons until the Ipod resets.
- then press and hold Play + Select. The Ipod will then switch into Emergency Disk mode, and that allows you to finish the installation. If you end up with the same error message you've been too slow with the 2nd part.
