suitable mp4 decoder board for diy build

(1/1)

Hi, I've got a 2.5"lcd and driver board with av in. It's for a tiny projector I'm building as part of an art piece.
I need a mp4 decoder board with either onboard memory or a card containing a file which will play and loop automatically on power up without the need for osd and menus.

Other option, teardown existing mp4/mp5 player and flash with new software that can do this.

Is this something rockbox can do, or be programmed to do?

Rockbox can loop videos, but you won't be able to connect any device it runs on to a LCD projector.

wildtypitch:
No, the player is the projector.
I've removed the light backing from the screen and use a led high power light source and various lenses to focus light through the now clear screen onto wall.
can it auto play on startup?

torne:
Rockbox cn't play MP4 video, only mpeg-1 and 2. We don't currently have a way to autoplay videos either.
