iPod Nano 2G + Fm Tuner can't play radio

(1/1)

ipodzen:
I got an iPod Nano 2 G.  I bought the FM tuner add on (Exactly like this: http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2006/01/remote.jpg)

When I plug it in nothing happens and i cannot see any radio setting in Rockbox for it.

Is this supported?  How can I get radio on my ipod with this tuner?

saratoga:
I don't think accessories work at all on the Nano2G.

No.

FM radio is not implemented in Rockbox for the Nano2G as yet.

bertrik:
What would be required to get accessory support on the nano 2g?
I guess just a UART driver (we have the datasheet for this), a way to enable accessory power and a developer with both a nano 2g + accessory, right?

Bertrik,

Well, Accessory Power can be enabled/disabled on the Nano2G:

Settings - General Settings - System - Accessory Power Supply - [[No]/[Yes]]

So I guess that's one ticked off the list already ;)

I spoke to TheSeven about this (enabling FM Radio) some time ago now, and the impression I got from him at the time was basically what you said in your post.

"A few things need to be enabled, we need a driver, and someone to actually do the work"
(not an actual quote...)
