Sansa Fuze v2 File Not found
(1/1)
mrskittles:
I have rockboxed two ipods in the past with no problems, and one of them was unstable (nano ver.2). When I tried to use Rockbox Utility, it claimed my Sansa Fuze was not there (I assume because there are no drive letters on my fuze) so I did it the manual way by copy/paste .rockbox and the .bin folder into the root folder after extracting them. It installed fine then shut down. After I turned it on the ROCKBOX logo appeared with a message saying "Loading firmware File not found" I re-installed everything again and again, but it never worked.
PLEASE HELP
saratoga:
You can't actually copy a program folder to your player if its in MTP mode (the USB mode where you don't get a letter), just music files. So what you did was install the bootloader but not rockbox. Reboot into original firmware, switch to MSC mode, and then use rockbox utility to install rockbox as normal. If in doubt, check the instructions in the manual. They explain these steps.

Sorry, I had it on the wrong file formmat for rockbox. Now it works fine!
