Ipod nano 1st gen 2GB Not booting up

<< < (2/2)

i have the same problem as you described aevis.

when i installed rockbox, everything worked fine for a day, but now the ipod won't start up again. i tried resetting it by pressing menu+select, but that didn't work. when i plug it in via the usb cable, the pc doesn't recognize the ipod, like it isn't even plugged in.

my ipod is also a nano 1st gen. 2gb version.

Found this thread : http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=16880.0

Basically what they say is that given enough time ( charging or not ) the problem will fix itself >,>

That said , the ipod has been plugged in to my pc for the past 12 hours and nothing has changed >,>

Later edit : After about 12-16 hours charging and 24 hours just sitting , when i plugged it in just now , the screen flashed , and there was some activity but i didn't get to read anything. It also flashed when attempting a reset , but afterwards it got unresponsive again
:|

I'll leave it plugged in some more >,>

mojnalog:
yes! it worked. i left it unplugged for 2 days and after plugging it into the pc, the ipod was recognized.

thanks aevis for posting that thread with the advice. :)

Problem solved itself over here as well after leaving it unplugged for one night. Thanks for the support guys.
