Theme Testers Wanted! - iPod Nano 1st/2nd Gen & Video 5th/5.5th Gen
[Saint]:
Hi,
Some of you may be aware about my efforts with the "iLike" theme for the iPod Nano 1st and 2nd Generation already.
It was always my intention to port this theme to other iPod models and now I am happy to say that I have the first version of iLike for the iPod Video ready for large scale testing.
Additionally there is also the second "release candidate" version of iLike for the iPod Nano(s) available now, approximately ~100 revisions past the version currently available on the themesite and this also needs large scale testing.
This is where you come in.
Everything should be working as expected, there is support for album art, metadata fallbacks, translation to native language (including right-to-left languages), an .FMS for both versions (if you have FM hardware and can test, great!), a "Next Track" prompt (that the Apple FW doesn't do ;)) but what I am looking for at this late stage is anything that could or should be improved...whatever that may be.
You can help me out by downloading the themes here:
iPod Nano 1st - 2nd Gen.7z
iPod Video 5th - 5.5th Gen.7z
Then posting your feedback about the themes on this thread, any and all suggestions for improvement are welcome and will be considered.
Thankyou to those of you who are already using the iLike Nano theme (I know there's ~1600 of you out there ;)), and to those who will be using the iLike Video theme.
I hope you enjoy using them as much as I have making them.

PS: I am also currently working on iLike for the iPod Colour/Photo so stay tuned.
EDIT:
Updated download links to fix an obvious error present in both themes, oops....sorry ;)

Yes, indeed...quite correct.
Firstly I want to add that I have updated the download links (I edited the links in the original post also) to correct an error I found while making screenshots.
So if you were going to reply with feedback stating "The titlebar is broken on the Recording and FM Radio screens!" please re-download the theme from the links below:
iPod Nano 1st - 2nd Gen.7z
iPod Video 5th - 5.5th Gen.7z
EDIT: Updated the download links *again* (in both this, and the original post) to encorporate a small fix/feature for the .fms suggested by pixelma on IRC
And now for the screenshots:
iPod Nano (1st Gen in this case, to display FM and Recording screens):
-Menu
-WPS
-WPS: Volume changing
-FMS
-FMS: Volume changing
I shall add iPod Video screenshots of the theme once I have them, but you get the idea from these shots I'm sure.
The Video version is pretty much the same...except, bigger ;)
Enjoy,

Atma:
Hello,
This my first post in this forum, I'm new to the rockbox users family.
Sorry if i sound rude as i'm from a non english speaking country, so my english is not good enough,.
Thanks for your work, i really appreciate it.
It was the first skin that I choose, now i will try this new version of it.
A few things that i think that could be improvee from my point of view:
On the main menu the display line are too near the side of the screen which make it look awkward (umpleaseant to Eyes), if you look at the original skin from Apple, there is a space of lileky a character between the begining of the screen and the first letter.
An option to show the volume and batt as numbers, not to replace the ones that you are using, but to add it to them.
I will add some modified screens so you can undestand me better:

Thanks again for your hard work.

Edit: I'm using ipod nano 1 gen
RockBoxFan:
*Love* your iLike theme!
Your great work on this theme inspired me to try writing one of my own.
Have you noticed that the "virtual LED" animation runs more slowly in the .sbs file than it does in the .wps file? I think this is a RockBox thing, as it does it on the simulator, and in the theme that I am writing as well.
