Sansa Clip+ Usb Support Dissabled

If i understood what i was reading a previous version of rockbox had usb support enabled, but it was unstable so it was disabled. Im looking for help in trying to get it enabled i dont need it to be stable i just need to be able to have it work for about 10secs. I have been stuck on this all day can someone help?

No it was never enabled for the Clip+.  Its unfinished.

Theres a lot of discussion on it over the last couple weeks in the IRC logs, but IIRC all you need to do is uncomment "#define USE_ROCKBOX_USB" in /firmware/export/config/sansaclipplus.h then compile your own build with it.

That said theres not much point in doing this unless you're handy with USB and want to work on it.  The controller doesn't seem to be initialized properly, so it errors out during transfers.

someone compiled a version w/ usb support. i have it installed on my clip+ and i have not had any issues with it.

On the last page of the thread posted above, there is a patch version of 3.7 with USB enabled.

I've been testing it and it isn't as unstable as once thought.

As once thought by who exactly? The problem with USB on the AMSv2 sansas isn't that it's unstable for everyone, it's that it can have very annoying effects for some people. The fact that it works well for you doesn't prove anything.
