I come back to relate my opinion...rockbox it's not stable on the sansa clip+ For example when using radio I have to shut it down because it's blocked on radio. Some other submenus don't work either. But most important thing is volume level is blocked on 6db. I don't know it's because of regions? mine is put on america or was before I updated the firmware...I can't check with rockbox
Equalizer is well working :)
I was triyng rockbox for evantually give it to a blind friend because it is voicing the menus ...but not in french :(
I hope he will be able to make it work in english...well it's enought intuitive and simple for basic use...really great idea to make it speek for non-seeing people !
I hope a stable version is soon to be available :)
Thanks to all developers, great work

Never heard of these problems, can you describe them in more detail?

Settings in the original firmware don't change anything in rockbox. That said, no one has reported any problems changing volume either. In fact it works great on mine. Can you describe this problem in more detail?

Ok i'm a idiot...I just realized that clicking 2 times on shut button makes main menu appear so no problem for radio. I passed an hour checking everything and triyng every possibities, and guess what, it's working well :) but :
for the volume level : it shows -81 to 6 db and i can begin to hear something at -44 db or so...perhaps it's normal but at 6 db it's not hyper loud...loud enought but I would support louder without killing my ears...
and I need to find something for the voicing in french ! That's all :)
Thanks for your interrest it obliged me to make the needed efforts, haha :)

The manual shows the keymap for all the screens if you're in doubt.

+6dB is the loudest the hardware supports. Its about a half volt, which is fairly loud for a portable device. If its quieter then the OF, you're probably screwing something up with the DSP and making the volume really low.
