Unable to detect Rockbox-ed Ipod Mini 2G in Windows
(1/1)
feiboi:
I installed the latest stable version of rockbox on my ipod mini 2g and then proceeded to overwrite the rockbox.ipod file with another version for psgroove. However, this sorta bricked my ipod and now it can't be detected in windows as a storage device and instead appears as a generic usb hub. Anyway I can get windows to detect it as a storage device again?
soap:
The honest thing to say is psgroove isn't our problem.
The nice thing to say is that Apple's own emergency disk mode is untouched by Rockbox and still accessible to you. I don't recall the key sequence for the Mini, but google knows.
Or you could just reboot to the original firmware, and that is covered in our manual.
EDIT: psgroove (not ours) mucks with USB, so for all I know breaking mounting as a mass storage device might be par for the course.
