Modify Skin to implement Album Art
« on: September 30, 2010, 02:46:16 AM »
Hi guys,

Yesterday I tried to use a different Skin for my Vibe, instead of the "Ultima" skin which I was using since. I didn't find any skin which was better for me, instead i got annoyed about how most skins have album art displays, and "Ultima" not. So, my obvious question is, how to implement it in said skin.

Simply copy&paste of some code from a different skin seemed useless and only messed up the general design. On the other hand, the Rockbox reference for custom wps writing proved useless for me. All I found in the forum was about loading the album art from files, which is not quite what I wanted (I want to extract it from the file itself). So, anyone has any ideas how to do the job?

I thought of moving the "playing" text to the right, make it left-aligned, and insert the album art in the now free, left space.

So long,
Kernle

Rockbox doesn't support loading album art embedded in music files, which is why you can't find how to do it.
