FUZE V2/3 questions

goodvibes:
I'm not an IT guy but can do normal stuff without issues. Just got the latest 8GB Fuze BI 1008. This looks like it was built in Aug of 2010 and obviously came with 3.33 firmware. Tried to manually install Rockbox as I had in the past with my V1 and it goes to the installing firmware screen and then turns off. Standard firmware on subsequent turn on. To see of it has to do with latest firmware compatibility, I installed Standard Fuze firmwares back to 1.17 without issue but when trying to then add rockbox, it would repeat the earlier described scenario. I am using the latest build .rockbox folder from this site and the correct Fuzpa dragged to the root directory. Same way I'm changing stock formwares. My V1 is still great but when I heard that the rockboxed v2 was pretty stable, I bought a backup before they're gone. Any ideas or should I just wait a bit for a fix to show up?

My guess is you used either an outdated version of rockbox utility or mkamsboot. Which program and which version did you use?

must be it. I'll give it another go.
Got it. Been so long since the v1 install that I forgot the bootloader. Brainfart for not reading the instructions again. Thanks.
