Status of Sansa View port?

I am considering getting a Sansa View and I was just wondering what the progress of the Sansa View port is. I looked it up but it seems their have been no new posts about its development in a year or so. Has it been dropped, will anyone else work on it, has their just been no updates or is it just a lost cause?

Then you know as much as anyone else does.  I'm sure if someone does something with the port they'll update the thread.
