Rockbox on ALL Sansa e200 series?

I have had rockbox loaded on a Sansa e250 (2GB) mp3 player for about 2yrs now. LOVE this alternative firmware. I'm looking to probably get the wife the same model (or e260 4GB model). When I originally installed my Rockbox, it was limited to certain e200 series models, but from what I THINK I'm reading, it looks like it now works for ALL e200 series models. Is this correct?

Short answer: yes, it works on all of them.

Long answer: "e200" stands for all of e250, e260, e270, e280 (hence "series"). There are two versions of each of these (v1 and v2, unsurprisingly). The v1s were "always" supported (they're basically all the same, just a different size of flash), support for the v2s is more recent, and these not being supported until half a year or so ago is probably what you remember.

Cool. I thought I was gonna have to further investigate what version I needed to get (off ebay) in order to also be able to put Rockbox on it, but looks like I don't need to go this extra step and can just get ANY e200 series Sansa player. Thanks
