Sansa e250 v2 -- Equalizer glitch?

(1/1)

rekkataichou:
Sorry, posted this in the wrong thread.

A weird glitch (?) I was noticing on my recently un-bricked Sansa e200 v2 -- I seem to have an equalizer glitch. If I enable the equalizer and tweak the bands, the left-channel cuts off or the song eventually glitches.

Currently, if I modify the 3rd band (PK2, regardless of what Hz I set it to), it causes the left-channel to cut out (though with adjusted bass/treble settings, some high pitched noises come  through... and I can hear the static clicks of the wheel through the left-channel). If I adjust the last band (HS), if the song plays for over two minutes, the audio will completely glitch (in both channels) until I seek through the song.

I am using nightly release r27994-100903. This did not happen immediately after I installed the nightly release, but began happening late today.

The channels are glitched playing regular MP3s from the system and MicroSD.

The only adjustments I've made are with the bass/treble and basic EQ settings.
Edit:
Huh. After a few shut-offs, all the bands of the Equalizer are working again, but songs are still glitching up every now and then. Even with default Bass/Treble and EQ off, this happens. Is this a hardware issue then?

kollapse:
I noticed an issue while using the eq on a nightly build, too.

If EQ is enabled, no matter what the EQ is set to, the vocals on every track are greatly reduced in volume.
It sounds as if it is in karaoke mode.

pixelma:
Rockbox has a karaoke mode (somewhere in "channel configuration, I believe), maybe you accidentally enabled it?
