PSGroove?

Just a random thought while I was playing with my MP3 player and reading various forums. I'm ignorant when it comes to programming and such. Would it be possible to port psgroove to RockBox and the various MP3/MP4 players? Well, it's an idea at least.


Edit: Psgroove on rockbox has been ported to different Ipod versions, a few of the sansa, and now the iriver H10 5/6GB MP3 Players.

Probably, but since it doesn't need buttons, a screen, or music playback I don't see why you'd need rockbox for it.  Might as well just run it directly on your MP3 player.

It's probably possible to run this on at least some of the USB controllers used in rockbox-supported players.

However, it requires changes in USB drivers and the USB stack that are really very specific (you need to pretend to be different devices at different times), and I don't think it's possible to integrate those cleanly in our code.

i was even thinking this would be possible since

cell phones
ipod touch/iphone if jailbreaked
calculators such as ti-84
psp maybe
android os

anything is possible

like mp3 players!

maybe instead of rockbox port(plugin) maybe a seperate os sytle when we boot up our players just push the right button?
