really? is it possible instead of the dim to go into a folder and periodicly show the images in a slideshow, while still listening to music?

The imageviewer plugins can do slide shows. See e.g. http://download.rockbox.org/daily/manual/rockbox-ipodvideo/rockbox-buildch11.html#x14-24700011.3.2 for details (or look in the specific manual for your player)

There are plugins for png, bmp and jpg
