1. it seems to be really hard to actually write the text.
2. it also seems to be really hard to actually read the error message.

Maybe we should remove all error messages from Rockbox Utility and just display a big "argh!" in case of any error.

obviously firmware.. I tried all of them for fuze and still get the same error!

whatever happen to the ez one click method, not all this quest for right firmware adventure...

The error messages (and subsequent disscussions from everyone above) refer to needed versions of the SANSA ORIGINAL FIRMWARE.

EDIT:  you edited your message to indicate you understand we're talking about the Sansa firrmware (and I assume it is installed).  I was confused by the unrelated screenshots.

I bought it for $40 refurb 8gb from newegg is it possible that its not compatible?

As soap said, you need to download the original firmware.  The picture you posted shows rockbox.  Thats not what you need to download.  Go to the sandisk website and download the actual, original, not rockbox, sandisk firmware.

As soap said, you need to download the original firmware.  The picture you posted shows rockbox.  Thats not what you need to download.  Go to the sandisk website and download the actual, original, not rockbox, sandisk firmware. 

link to sandisk original firmware is broken...


a google search only leads me to more broken links or sansas updater..which ive already use to update to V 01.02.31A
