Theres a link to it in the screen that asks you for it IIRC. You can also find a link in the manual, on the sandisk website, and in the rockbox wiki.

that doesnt help me ive downloaded all those and still the same issue.. as you can see from my screens
I bought it for $40 refurb 8gb from newegg is it possible that its not compatible?

As soap said, you need to download the original firmware. The picture you posted shows rockbox. Thats not what you need to download. Go to the sandisk website and download the actual, original, not rockbox, sandisk firmware.

link to sandisk original firmware is broken...
a google search only leads me to more broken links or sansas updater..which ive already use to update to V 01.02.31A
