Newbie - Music playback on Sansa clip is not working

Hi, I am new to Rockbox. I just got a sansa clip which came with a firmware version of 1.30a. I installed Rockbox with the graphical installer, and the current build on it is r27774-100811.

I have loaded some mp3 files on the player. But I cant get them to play. I navigate through files, and then browse to the file. When it attempts to play. The playback screen seems stuck. I has the play triangle, but no audio. The track info shows 0:00/0:00 for time ?kb/s (no id3). The scrubber does not change position. I have attached a screen shot of what is looks like.

The next and back buttons do nothing. Play/Pause button makes the play/pause icon change (but no audio)

Is this a problem with the current build? I have tried to search the forum and could not find a related issue.

Are you sure your player is 1.0 firmware? Could be 2.0...Also, I don't think it would allow you to install without it, but did you download the .zip or .bin file or whatever you need for your device's firmware that you need in order to continue with installation?

(At least I'm pretty sure you need one...I sure did for my friend's when I did theirs. Think it worked fine.)

Also, you need to know what firmware your device uses. You don't nee to break it open or anything ridiculous like that. Just go to:

"Home" button > Settings > System Info

EDIT: You probably did all this correctly or it probably wouldn't even have installed, hm? Oh well..

You can't put the wrong firmware version on a clip, so that should be fine.

Random guessing:  do the MP3 files have weird tags or huge images embedded in them?  We have test files here, try one and see if they work:
