Sansa fuze v2 is bricked....PLEASE HELP

I'm a new member so bear with me here........

So I installed rockbox on my sansa fuze v2 is installed fine......it turned back on fine, but when I went to plug it back into the computer the screen when black and it stopped responding to anything I tried holding the power switch for 30secs, 1 min and even 5 minutes. no dice 

I let it sit overnight to see if it will turn back on then still nothing. no response from it plug being plugged into my computer or my wall charger. as of right now its being a very nice $60 paper weight 

i don't want to have to take it apart and try and fix it......any help is much appreciated

This occasionally happens on USB plugin for some units for some unknown reason.  Let it sit for a couple days, the battery will run down and it'll reboot.

When there's no static audible on inserting/removing the headphones. Alternatively, when you plug it in and it boots up happily

yea I did notice some static when i plugged in my headphones so until then I guess i'll wait...thanks!!
