MPEG player won't work

(1/1)

marsrover:
I upgaded to the newest version from the last version and MPEG player gives the error inconpatable version.
When installing I picked the total install method and when unziping the main base package it gave a unzip error. Tried it again. Same thing, Forced it to download a new package and unzip. Same thing. Any help?

Chronon:
What does the error say, exactly?

You can manually extract rockbox.zip to the root of your player to update too.  It sounds like mpegplayer.rock didn't get updated, so you're trying to use an old plugin with a new firmware (hence the 'incompatible version').

marsrover:
I replaced the .rockbox file manualy and the video works just fine now.
Only I want the .wad file for doom, and some more theme files. It says opening arcive failed: invalid or incompatable .zip archive...
Do I have to do this manualy as well? Or should I just wait till the next relese.
I have tried this on windows (2 diff machines) and linux (2 diff machines) Linux didn't give me the write permitions for some reason. Windows gives me this .zip annoyance.

Chronon:
If Linux didn't give you write permission then it may be that your player's file system has errors.  You might try checking the file system to see if any problems can be detected.
