from stereo to 5.1

Hello, who knows as much as possible from your stereo to 5.1 (surround channel) Maybe there is some plugin or other
how can it be done, and then I connect the Ipod in the car and then I have 4 speakers and a subwoofer, and I do not have stereo as bass clogs speakers.thanks those who will respond

Its hardware, the jack in the ipod would have to be 5.1
