60 gb ipod video freezes with rockbox
« on: August 08, 2010, 10:23:56 AM »
I just installed rockbox to my ipod and it appears to be working well in the first glance. But when use plug-ins or play gbc games, rockbox freezes when I try to go the menus for example saving games and quiting from games. What should I do to prevent this

What build did you install and how did you install it?

Is this iPod one you purchased new from Apple or used?

I used the program to install. I recently downloaded and installed it so I guess its the latest build. And the ipod is not new. I guess Ive been using it for 1.5 years

You can check the version under System -> Rockbox Info.

There are two different "kinds" of latest build: the latest release version (3.6, released in June) and the latest current build, produced every time something changes, which is many times per day. The current builds have a revision number, such as r12345.

If you have 3.6, you may want to try the current build to see if it works better for you. The iPod port is generally extremely stable so even the current builds should be perfectly fine to use.
