iPod nano 2g
« on: August 08, 2010, 02:18:38 AM »
I just updated my iPod to the newest build and after a few minutes I get a white screen that says "*PANIC* Stkov nand". Anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it?

Oh, I've gotten that once or twice...rebooting worked fine, I believe...? Doesn't for you?

When did the error actually come up? Did you use graphic install (rockbox utility) or manual?

I believe someone has made a patch that is meant to fix such issues, but there have been reports of failure and complete firmware crash:

Just throwing things out there...Have you installed an older build previously? Did that work? If so, just go to the older build for now if you can't get the newest one to work. I know I have v3.6 working on mine...

I manually installed the newest builds and even after I reboot the iPod, I will still get the same error a few minutes later. For right now I have my brothers older build.

It is necessary to allow the iPod to turn off in usual way by timeout.

Try using the latest build. Anything newer than r28011 should not have this problem.

If for some reason you must use an older build, the patch in FS#11601 should prevent the issue. You'll have to follow the process in the Wiki to build Rockbox from source, of course.
