When will the official release for the Fuze v2 be available?

Yes but there are still bugs I'm afraid to get like the one you need to discharge your battery - creepy!

USB support - while I'm used not being supported, it's nice to have it
Battery life - That is very important.  That is one of the reasons I'd like to wait.
Wake-up alarm bug - I don't use the alarm.  So, if this bug is still present in the stable one, I won't encounter it.
Playback frequency is off by 1.1% - Wut?  OK, I'm an audiophile... this needs to be 100% correct.  #2 reason of the wait.
Some models won't patch with RButil 1.2.7. Use mkamsboot. - This is important to me that this is fixed because I don't know mkamsboot.
And then, of course, the battery bug - #1 reason of waiting.

The playback frequency was immediately noticeable to me on my Clip+......luckily, i found a build with a patch in it that corrected this. So if that's something that would bother you, I would wait, unless you know how to incorporate that patch yourself(I sure don't).

Lebon14:
Hmm... Well, I do not know how to patch rockbox either.  So I'll wait!

Progweed:
Personally, I can't notice that small frequency offset, no matter how hard I try. But that may differ from person to person.

Creepy? Well, of course it sucks when that happens. But it won't damage your battery or something like that. It's just very, very annoying. :) All I can say is that it never happened to me since I first rockboxed my FuzeV2 in May. *knocks on wood*

Also keep in mind that "stable" does not necessarily mean "includes USB support". The FuzeV1 reached a stable state long before the developers implemented USB file transfer.

The same is true for prolonged battery life. And Rockbox lasts nearly as long as the OF by now. I usually get 16 or 17 hours, which I think is great.

mkamsboot is *really* easy to use as long as you know how to use the command prompt. The manual describes the whole process in great detail.

Mhm, that sounds like I want to push you into using Rockbox. That was not my intention. Just wanted to state my 2 cents.  ;)

Just go ahead and get it when your fuze comes in. It's stable just a few bugs
