Rockbox on nano 4G
« on: August 03, 2010, 01:57:50 PM »
Hi all. I've searched the forum here and there and I found out that u can't make the rockbox port for nano 4g because it's encrypted.
To that mater - try looking here - http://l4n.clustur.com/index.php/Nano4G_firmware_upgrade_process maybe it'll help?

Thanks, but we are aware of the work of linux4nano, and the lead linux4nano developer (TheSeven) is also a Rockbox developer.

Well, keep waiting then :)  Although code execution is now possible, there has been no work done on anything else, which is a long and difficult process.  There isn't even anyone working on it to my knowledge.

I think I'm done waiting)

A hacker named pod2g made a jailbreak for 4.1 iOS, that is sed to be working on Ipod  4g. As the guy writes its a boot ROM exploit, so is it possible to use this for nano?)

Twiter: https://twitter.com/pod2g

MuscleNerd That latest exploit from @pod2g confirmed to work beyond iPhone4...also on at least iPad and yesterday's iPod4G too :)

I think you're confusing the Ipod Nano with the iPhone.  This thread is about the former, and theres already an exploit available for it.  That twitter link really has nothing to do with this thread.
