"Tagged" EQ PreSets - Possible?

Is this idea dead?

I would love to see any feature that would allow me to "auto execute" an EQ preset. Either tagged, from a playlist file, folder based... Either way I could make it work for me.

As is said countless times amongst the various "Hey, y'know what would be *really* cool?" posts in these forums:

"No one will stop you from submitting a patch to add this functionality into Rockbox"
Of course, there's no guarantee that it would be accepted.

that would be awesome. I prefer equing to specific albums too
