This is already implemented. The pitch screen allows you to adjust both pitch, and speed (tempo) independently.
From the Manual:
--- Quote ---The Pitch Screen allows you to change the rate of playback (i.e. the playback speed and at the same time the pitch) of your player. The rate value can be adjusted between 50% and 200%. 50% means half the normal playback speed and a pitch that is an octave lower than the normal pitch. 200% means double playback speed and a pitch that is an octave higher than the normal pitch.
The rate can be changed in two modes: procentual and semitone. Initially, procentual mode is active.
If you’ve enabled the Timestretch option in Sound Settings and have since rebooted, you can also use timestretch mode. This allows you to change the playback speed without affecting the pitch, and vice versa.
In timestretch mode there are separate displays for pitch and speed, and each can be altered independently. Due to the limitations of the algorithm, speed is limited to be between 35% and 250% of the current pitch value. Pitch must maintain the same ratio as well as remain between 50% and 200%.
The value of the rate, pitch and speed is not persistent, i.e. after the player is turned on it will always be set to 100%. However, the rate, pitch and speed information will be stored in any bookmarks you may create (see section 8.6) and will be restored upon playing back those bookmarks.
--- End quote ---

Thankyou , from the pitch screen , how do I change pitch and speed independently? Currently, there is only one screen that I can change from 50% to 200%, but it will change pitch only. Do I have to change the pitch mode to semitone or do something in the pitch menu for me to change pitch + speed independently?
I don't think I have seen the option to change the pitch menu from procentual to semitone , I will look for that in settings, ty.

The manual is the key here, you'll probably find the manual explains the keymaps to your satisfaction.
You never mentioned what target you are using, that's why I didn't list the keymap for the pitchscreen in my last post.

Sorry, I am using the sansa e200. The only key that changes anything I found yesterday was the record key. It changes the mode to semitone, but that does not change anything it seems ( the higher semitone goes, the higher pitch goes, and vice versa) so it would be the same as changing pitch itself, just different numbers and a different name...

The option you are looking for is bolded in one of the posts you already replied to, as has already been pointed out. If you aren't going to read it... ;)

Yeah sorry, I guess I skimmed through that without seeing it lol I just took it as 'you can use timestretch mode' so I kept on reading it , and entirely missed that.
Now that I know there are two menu's though, I will definitely enable timestretch, and go between the two ( semitone & default ) ...Hope it works =P
Found it, it isn't very well coded ( it will get glitchy and then uses the full power of the processor, which it shouldn't ....) ...it can make your track kind of staticy when speed/pitch is not the exact same too. But yeah , knowing that the record button switches screen helps alot =P
