Sansa fuze v2 doesn't turn on?

Hello

A few hours ago my Sansa Fuze v2 stopped working. I was listening to music when a white screen came up with an error: the only thing I remember was, it said something like BAD DATA... After that the player turned off, and I can't turn it on. Not even when I connect it to my computer or to the charger. It looks like a got a brick.

I patched the firmware 2.26  some months ago and it worked very well. The white screen appeared once before, if I remember correctly, but after that sansa turned on just fine. Because I'm on my vacation, I can't write the number of the revision I was using. It should be between pages 120-125 in this topic if that maybe helps.
How could it be possible to fix this player?

Thanks

Vague Rant:
If holding down power for the allotted hardware poweroff time (sorry, not certain of it off the top of my head; I'm wanting to say 90 seconds?) doesn't work, it may be that the device has simply crashed. Basically, you have to wait for the battery to run down, which may take up to three days. Try plugging in some headphones (with the headphones in your ears) to see if you hear the crackle when they go in; if you do, you know the device is still powered. Once it runs down you may be able to charge it as normal and have a working player.

When I plug headphones there is a crackle sound, so I guess there's still hope. I'll keep you posted.

Hey thanks!
Looks like that was the problem. Later that day I turned it on and it worked fine.

I also read the thread and if I understand correctly, if I upgrade the rockbox firmware my player shouldn't crash any more?
Another question: can a crash like this brick/damage my player?

thanks again
