Time and date change whenever reset.

I have a Sansa E280 V2. Whenever i try to change the time or date it will revert to February 7, 2006, no matter what i change. I've tried it in both Rockbox and the original firmware, with no success. Except when i try it with it on the OF it will revert to January 1, 1970 instead. Am I doing anything wrong? is there another way I can change the time? this is important because I need to fix this so i can scrobble for Last.fm.
