Sansa Fuze v1 Data Aborts, Panics, Database problems ...

(1/1)

Hi, I'm having quite a lot ofproblems  recently (last couple of weeks). 1. While playing music , after a couple of minutes, when browsing the Database, it says "Database not ready", even though I never updated  or initialized  it. It then prompts me to "Initialize  Now?". If I select yes, it rebuilds it and then happens  again after a couple of minutes. If I select no, and simply  reboot it, then the Database works, however, again, only for a few minutes.
2. It shuts down in middle of playing music,  not always though. It usually displays  a panic message.  I have not written it down yet.
3. It creates garbage  files and folders, only once though. I then scanned  it with Windows 7 for filesystem  errors, and it removed  those junk files.
4. It shuts down  in middle  of recording, displaying "Data Abort at 30052904. FSR 0x8. (Domain  0, fault 8 ). address 0x600000BF. Always the same message.

I have tried various builds in the last couple of weeks, and none have helped.

Thanks!

Writing to internal storage is currently broken on Sansa AMSv1 (Fuzev1/e200v2 etc) for some weeks.

There's a workaround (patch) somewhere on the forum so just wait for ranma to check it or revert to 3.6

Oh. So I"ll put it in the wiki, because I had no idea, because  the forum is locked already.

Thanks! (Please remind him ;) )

Ok, So I got hit by the pannic error, seems that a CLEAN install of RB(deleted the .rockbox folder and reinstalled) fixed it fully, I havent had any issues since doing this, the units working fine now :D
