NES Emulator {RockNES FTW}

Someone ported iPod Linux to Sansa - I think it's in the unofficial builds area. I don't feel comfortable messing with that stuff - since I don't know how to use it. I would love to see an NES emulator though - I've been dying to do Super Mario Bros. 3 - or even the All-Star collection if SNES was made. Then I might even have to get Mario Paint. :D

I noticed people concerned about the performance of a NES emulator due to different resolution and colours on devices.
Heres a 'simple' solution.
Convert NES files to RNES. A PC based app converts all the graphics to the right res (and possibly monochrome with selectable threshhold) for your device.
Much better than converting the stuff on the fly if the processors can't handle it.

This is entirely impossible, there is no way to know what data is even 'graphics' let alone what form it's stored in or to change it to something else.
Learn how classic console hardware works. It is all very, very magical and low level.

Ah yes. I understand. I was thinking in terms of Duke3D(build) GRP Files and ID's WAD files :)
