iRiver H10, Samsung hs122jc and low speed problem

Some time ago I did some upgrade on my iRiver H10. I bought some samsung hs122jc 120GB drive and put it inside. Of course rockbox run on it perfectly and everything seems to be fine but....
I'm not happy about read/write speed. I've got about 6/24 MB/s - isn't it a bit slow? Shouldn't it be a couple of times faster? What it is about? Can anyone tell me if it can go faster?
This drive is 5400rpm, and ZIF/ATA doesn't seems to be a limiter here....
