Meizu Rockbox
« on: July 10, 2010, 06:03:22 PM »
Hi,

I've been following the meizu rockbox page for awhile now. Just wondering, what information like specs, etc. are needed from Meizu company if any?

We have nearly all the needed specs already, only developer time and source code is useful at that point.

I guess an GPLed flash translation layer would be nice, or maybe a specification for the one they use :)

Thanks for the replies. What source code do you mean funman, the one from Meizu? Saratoga, is that how one would ask meizu company- for a GPLed flash translation layer or specification for the meizu players? I'm going to try to email them for that info or has somebody already done that?

Don't waste your time.  They won't give it to you.

Hello, I have some potential good news. This time I have emailed a rep of intenational meizu division and they are willing to look at providing info for getting rockbox to work on meizu m6 or m3 players! Please reply so I can provide contact info and see if they  are willing to help!

Here is a quotes from some of my emails I just sent.

Me

"If I can ask the rockbox team what exactly is needed, I can have them email you for the info, is that okay?"

Meizu Rep

"OK. Tell them to do that and I'll see if we can provide the relevant info."
