I have a Sansa e250 (2GB) mp3 player with an pretty old version of Rockbox installed on it. All works good, but I'm looking to upgrade the firmware to the latest current stable build. I see that there are v1 and v2 downloads for the e200 series.
Its been so long since I installed my Rockbox firmware that I'm not sure which player version I have & I am trying to find info on how to determine what I have. Or does it not matter with the e200 series since it looks like the version numbers are the same for the current builds. Just want to make sure before I install it.
Does it matter too that I would be going from firmware r1XXXX to r3XXXX?
Also, can I go back to the firmware I currently have installed if I don't like the current build for some reason. I doubt I'll want to go back, but just want the option just in case I need to. I'm thinking all I need to do is copy my current .ROCKBOX folder on to my PC and back it up that way, correct? Then I can use it with the installer to go backwards if I decide I want to.
